TROYES

Very easily accessible, the city of Troyes is a wonderful destination for a weekend, a week or more. As a medieval city, it offers many cultural, architectural, gastronomic and shopping attractions.

The historic district of Troyes, the Bouchon de Champagne, is only a few minutes walk from the Hotel de la Gare. Take the opportunity to visit these unique little streets, lined with half-timbered houses or “champenois” constructions (a mixture of brick and chalk). From pretty little shops to cafes and delicious restaurants, there is plenty to see as you stroll around.

Gastronomy is also special for the inhabitants of Troyes, who greatly appreciate their andouillette but also chaource, a soft cheese which takes its name from a neighboring village, Les "Troyes petits chats" from Maison Caffet, praline specialties or Champagne truffles. And, of course, all to taste (in moderation) with a champagne from the region.

In terms of culture, you will appreciate the Museum of Modern Art, the Saint-Loup Museum, the House of Tools and Labor Thought, the Apothecary of the Hôtel-Dieu-le-Comte or the Cité du Stained glass.

For professionals, the Argence area, the CUB3 exhibition center and the Aube Congress Center are very close to your hotel at Troyes train station.
